Pabón, Postiga and Guardado out, Keita in at Valencia
Valencia have been busy reshuffling their squad in the transfer market on Thursday, as three players left the club on loan deals elsewhere, with more than one or two surprises amongst those shown the door, whilst former Barca and Sevilla midfielder Seydou Keita joins until the end of the season.
Although the move by Colombian striker Dorlan Pabón came as no surprises, with his loan to Brazilian side Sao Paulo made official on Wednesday, a few eyebrows were raised when he was joined through the exit door by two other Valencia players.
Portuguese striker Hélder Postiga has agreed a loan until the end of the season with Italian’s Lazio. Meanwhile, Mexican wide-man Andrés Guardado also heads out on loan, joining German outfit Bayer Leverkusen. Both players have already travelled to their respective destinations, where they will undergo medicals before completing their moves.
Heading inbound however, Valencia have also announced the capture of former Barcelona and Sevilla midfielder, Seydou Keita, with the 34-year-old Mali international joining the club until the end of the season on a free-transfer from Chinese side Dalian Aerbin FC, whilst also having the option to extend for another season, if things work out well.
