Levante manager, Joaquin Caparros conceded that the 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening at the Ciutat de Valencia was the fairest result, despite the game being completely open for the most part and both teams on the verge of scoring.

Joaquín CaparrósIn his post-match press conference, Caparros spoke about the match and the scoreless draw against a relegation side and feels that both sides could’ve scored periodically throughout the match and the fact that they didn’t and both kept clean sheets, shared points was the most appropriate result.

“Although we could’ve scored, they gave the feeling that they could’ve scored as well.

“At this point of the season, we all start to understand what’s at stake and today, we added a point.  Now we must being to focus on the next week’s match.”

Caparros concluded by admitting that he is happy to keep his goal difference the same and that serves to add two points, not just one.
