Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Gareth Bale made his triumphant return to the Santiago Bernabeu after being sidelined for several weeks with a muscle injury and the Welshman, who record a goal in the 7th minute and provided an assist on the second goal by Karim Benzema, feels that it’s a good thing to put pressure on their rivals.

Gareth Bale talks to RM TV

In his post-match interview with Real Madrid TV, Bale spoke about the win, which sees Los Blancos go to the top of the La Liga table for the first time this season, and is happy to come back and make a difference for the team.

“The most important thing is the victory for the team but, obviously, I’m very happy with the goal and being able to put some pressure on our La Liga rivals.  We’re enjoying playing our football, which is very important.”

Real Madrid are hoping Bale can remain injury free and they are without Cristiano Ronaldo for another two weeks due to a three-match ban he picked up last weekend against Athletic Bilbao.
