Jeffren Suarez sidelined for five weeks with muscle tear
Real Valladolid forward, Jeffren Suarez played just one match after his January move from Portugal’s Sporting CP, and it will unfortunately be the last until late March as the Venezuelan tore a muscle in his right glute that will keep him out of action for the next five weeks.
Suarez was brought in to help save the club from relegation, but the former Barcelona youth star pulled up lame in Valladolid’s 2-2 draw with Elche last weekend.
Jeffren was forced to leave the pitch and an MRI confirmed that the player had a torn muscle (Grade II) in his right glute.
Suarez’s injury will see him miss crucial matches against Atletico Madrid, Levante, Malaga, Barcelona, Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad.
