Barcelona winger, Gerard Deulofeu has impressed everyone on his season-long loan spell with Everton and with his future at Barcelona still uncertain, AC Milan have reportedly made the first steps in securing a loan deal for the gifted 19-year-old for next season.

According to British radio station, talkSPORT, AC Milan sporting director, Adriano Galliani has made inquiries into the availability of Deulofeu for a season-long loan, as he knows that Barcelona wouldn’t sell the La Masia graduate for anything in Milan’s current price range.

Deulofeu, while showing his immense talent on a very visible national stage, is unlikely to usurp any of the current wingers; Pedro, Neymar, Alexis Sanchez or Cristian Tello from the depth chart, which could lead to the player being sent out on loan once again next season.

AC Milan continue to struggle and with it virtually guaranteed that they will not make the Champions League, they are looking for low-cost, high production players for next season.

Meanwhile, Everton retain the right to keep the player on, should Barcelona chose to send him out on loan once more, meaning Milan have a fight ahead of them.
