The LFP has confirmed that the next Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona will take place at the Santiago Berabeu on Sunday 23rd March at 21:00.
The highly-anticipated contest will feature current league leaders, Barcelona and Real Madrid, in what could be the deciding factor in the La Liga title race.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all even on points at the top of the league, but a win for either side would give them an advantage, while a draw would be the best possible result for Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid are incredible form and looking to avenge their first round 2-1 loss to Barcelona at the Camp Nou, where they feel they were denied two penalties.
While the match is one of the most highly-anticipated on it’s own, the title implications, and the fact that it is just coming before the next round of the Champions League and a month away from their Copa del Rey showdown, adds even more story lines to what has become an international sporting event.
