Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque is content with how his team performed against Italy, both in defence and attack, as they secured a 1-0 victory at the Vicente Calderón.

Vicente Del BosqueAt his post-match press conference, having observed his side beat Italy thanks to a single goal from Pedro, Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque was satisfied by the outcome of the game and the performance of the team.

“We’ve mode the ball around well and we were slightly superior to Italy. Given it was a friendly, we’ve had some very good moments. We had some spells of great play, even though they to have had their chances.”

“We’ve been lively with our play, we made the ball do the work and our circulation has been good. We’ve also been attentive defensively, to the advances of Italy when they’ve attacked.”

As for the début of Diego Costa, the Spain coach feels he’ll get used to how they play and is a good addition to his plans.

“We’ve incorporated Diego and he will adapt a little to the style of the team. There isn’t a single player who could be harmful for the play of Spain.”
