Atletico Madrid are reportedly set to sign a shirt sponsorship deal with Azerbaijan that will run until 2014.

The club had initially signed a deal with the Republic of Azerbaijan to have the words ‘Azerbaijan Land of Fire’ on their official shirts for the Madrid derby against Real Madrid.

The club have now agreed a deal to keep the logo on their shirt after turning away the advances of Chinese technology firm Huawei and one from United Arab Emirates.

The new deal will run for 18-months and reports suggest it could be worth around €12m.
