According to Spanish sports daily, AS, Rayo president, Raul Martin Presa was seen at the offices of the Vicente Calderon on Thursday and it is being reported that there is a tentative agreement between the two clubs for the striker to join once the summer transfer window officially opens.
Baptistao’s relsease clause is currently set at €8 million, but it is said that Atletico Madrid would most likely pay €4-6 million, depending on which players Atletico would include in the deal.
Rayo are said to be eager to make the deal in order to acquire cheap players that do not feature for the club, or take several young players on season-long loans, such as Saul, Manquillo and Oliver Torres.
