Barragan told reporters that “it has to be uncomfortable for our rivals in the Mestalla”. After two home defeats, the player went on: “We have not had easy games in Mestalla and we want to arrive on Friday, play a good game, get the three points and go up which is where we deserves to be at Valencia”.
Against Getafe, Barragan hopes that a win will see a little ‘normality’ return to the club: “We understand the situation in which we are, we do not get the results we should have and we try to do our best. The culprit is not the president, we are the players and we have to try to get the three points and that will normalize everything”.
Despite being in mid table, the defender still believes there is ample time to climb the table. He went on: ”We have to step up and try to improve. The goal remains the Champions League and we will fight for it all season, we have a long time left to climb in the standings [of La Liga]“.
Barragan has started a number of games this season and he acknowledged that is ”what every player wants” and said he is confident that he will “keep improving and try to be a better player if possible”.
