Bellvis: Atletico’s result against Barca will not matter
Posted by Staff Writer on December 21st, 2012 02:00 PM | News, Primera LigaCelta Vigo defender Carlos Bellvis has said Atletico Madrid’s defeat to Barcelona last weekend will have no bearing on the game when the two sides meet on Friday night.
- By Staff Writer Follow @insidelaliga
Bellvis is expected to start the game for Paco Herrera’s side in place of the injured Roberto Lago at left-back and he spoke of how difficult the game will be at Vicente Calderon.
“It will be a very difficult game because Atletico are going very well,” he told Marca.
“Up front they have a lot of firepower, we need to take care with their attacks and then try to take advantage of one of the chances we will have.
“The result in the Camp Nou will not take its toll. Atletico will pressure us a lot, they will not let us play.
“They are the favourites, but in one match anything can happen. If we can get one then they could have problems.”
