Real Valladolid striker, Patrick Ebert was forced to leave Saturday evening’s 2-3 loss to Real Madrid in the first half after pulling up with a hamstring injury.

Following preliminary tests by the club’s medical staff, it was determined that Ebert may have a light hamstring tear, which could see the talented German not see a return to action for four weeks or until 2013.

The forward will undergo further examination on Sunday to determine the exact diagnosis and extent of his recuperation.

Ebert has recorded three goals and three assists for a Valladolid squad who weren’t expected to be vying for a Europa League spot this early in the season.

The 25-year-old has played a large role in the team’s success and would be a devastating blow to Miroslav Djukic’s squad if Ebert would to be sidelined for a significant amount of time.
