Barcelona’s Lionel Messi broke yet another record to become the Inside Spanish Football Player of the Week.

However, Messi would one up his own achievement, scoring his second goal of the evening and 301st goal in Blaugrana in the 69th minute off a beautifully placed free kick.

Messi currently has 37 goals in La Liga this season, and is on pace to break his own single season goal scoring record with 48 goals and 13 assists in 36 official matches.

Messi also played his 500th match as a professional; 365 official and 35 unofficial matches with Barcelona, as well as 77 senior and 23 youth matches for the Argentine national team.
