Dutch Eredivisie side, PSV has demanded that Sevilla pay them unpaid fees and urged the RFEF to get involved and take appropriate action.

PSV claims that they are still owed €2 million from Sevilla for the transfer of Arouna Kone, and the Andalusians have refused to pay the money, while they spend money in this summer`s transfer market for Hedwiges Maduro, Bryan Rabello, and Diego Lopez.

PSV CEO, Tiny Sanders issued a statement via the club`s official website.

“Today Sevilla have added a new Spanish episode by simply refusing to pay a contractual obligation and also refusing mediation from the European Club Association,

“The procedures with FIFA to settle disputes are lengthy, and it looks as if some Spanish clubs, like Sevilla, are misusing the extra time to spend their money differently and maybe a future administrative bankruptcy protects them from paying the bills.

“In this case Sevilla should pay PSV €2m because of a contractual obligation about Arouna Kone, dated August 29, 2007, which reads; ‘In case the player is transferred to a third club or upon termination of his contract (for whatever reason) Sevilla will always pay €2m to PSV’

“There can be no multi-interpretation of this clause, Sevilla should simply pay.”

Sanders then pleaded with the governing bodies of international football, to force Sevilla and other Spanish clubs to settle their debts.

“We urge FIFA, UEFA, ECA, but especially the Spanish football environment to start working on the improvement of the reputation of Spanish clubs, the first step is to fulfill contractual obligations.”

This is not the first time that PSV has had a difficult time extracting payment from a team from Sevilla, as the Eindhoven side went to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to complain about Real Betis` unpaid transfer debt of €3.7 million for Robert.

Although the courts sided with PSV that Real Betis should pay €2 million, Real Betis has yet to pay a dime to the Dutch side.
