Malaga striker Juan Miguel Jimenez “Juanmi” will join Segunda side Racing Santander on loan until the end of the season.

juanmiAfter Los Boquerones completed the loan signing of exciting Chelsea youth player Lucas Piazon, manager Manuel Pellegrini has decided to allow Juanmi to join Racing until end of season.

The player made his debut as a 16 year old against Getafe in the Copa del Rey and the U19 international holds the club record of being the youngest ever to score two goals in a league game. He managed the feat back in September 2010 during the match v Real Zaragoza at La Romerada.

The Brazilian Piazon has already passed a medical for his new club is now staying in Malaga until his official unveiling as a player which is expected shortly.

The Copa del Rey tie against Barcelona will come too early for Piazon. With the Blaugrana in irresistible form this season, Pellegrini’s men will have their work cut out to keep the tie alive going into the second leg next week.

However, with a wonderful debut Champions League campaign and some La Liga results of note already under their belts this season, the team will be confident of springing a surprise.
