The home side were victorious against Valencia last week and they moved to seventh place after beating Levante 2-0.
Both sides had clear chances to score in the first half with Pape Diop coming close for the visitors with a close range effort moments before the break.
But the game did not stop entertaining after the interval as both sides continued to play attractive and attacking football.
Obafemi Martins had been unusually quiet in the first half but he sprang into action just before the hour mark when he twisted and turned before sending his effort high and wide.
Minutes later and the home side would take the lead in fantastic fashion. Nacho Martinez picked the ball up on the left before striking an effort into the top corner from around 35 yards out.
However the defender would not score the goal of the night as midfielder Piti won that honour, making it 2-0 with a sensational 40-yard free-kick.
Franco Vazquez completed the scoring in the 94th minute as Paco Jemez’s men climb to seventh.
