A Diego Castro penalty gave Getafe victory over Real Zaragoza on Saturday night in a game that saw three men sent off.

The home side began the game well and on the attacking front but were forced to change their style when Ivorian midfielder Romaric was shown a straight red card inside 10 minutes.

The extra man helped Getafe as the began to grow in to the game with the best chance of the first half coming for David Abraham who headed over the bar from eight yards out.

Diego Castro then came close but saw his shot saved from the edge of the area as the visitors upped their attacking play to find an opener.

The opener then came when Castro converted from the penalty spot after another Zaragoza man was sent off, this time Alvaro Gonzalez was given his marching orders.

The fiery encounter continued to get nasty as the game reached its end with Getafe battling to hold on for the win; Abdel Barrada was shown a red card for the visitors but they held on for all three points.
