Sevilla’s Manu del Moral in race for fitness

by Staff Writer | Posted on Thursday, December 6th, 2012

Sevilla’s Manu del Moral has rejoined the main group in training and his race back to fitness may see him available for the match on Friday against Espanyol.

Sevilla coach José Miguel González ”Michel” has been given a welcome boost by the news that Manu del Moral may be fit and available for selection for the match against Espanyol at the Estadio Cornella-El Prat.

Alvaro Negredo is still struggling with injury,  but as long as there is no setback in his recovery, Moral, who has worked normally with the group this week, will be available for Friday’s game.

After yet another sending off for Chilean Gary Medel during the match against Valladolid, and with Dutchman Hedwiges Maduro not able to finish the game after experiencing physical discomfort, Del Moral’s return will have cheered the coach’s mood.

The team completed a normal training in preparation for Friday’s match, which will also see the return of three of four suspended players – Spahic, Fazio and Rakitic. Left-back Antonio Luna still has a second game to sit out before returning to the squad.
