La Liga Team of the Week Round 26 March 2019

Girona dominate the Team of the Week with four players after their 2-0 win away at Rayo Vallecano. The goalkeeping spot goes to Espanyol’s Diego Lopez- their 3-1 win over Valladolid also saw history made in the form of the first Chinese player to score a goal in La Liga. It also saw Borja score after just 18 seconds- the fastest league goal since Carmona’s strike for Gijon against Sociedad 3 years ago.

All the eleven players featured in the TOTW were from winning teams, with the Player of the Week award going to Alvaro Morata, whose first half double helped Atleti win at San Mames against Sociedad.
